The Make a Flake is an Adobe Flash game owned by Barkley U.S, an employee owned advertising agency with a workforce of 250 employees. In the game, players are able to cut out a snowflake and view it. Players may also share the snowflake with the online community via the in game gallery feature. Players may also view the snowflakes created by other players via the gallery feature previously mentioned. Content uploaded to this gallery can also be downloaded as JPEG or EPS files for use in photo editing programs and the like. The snowflake creation process works as follows: the player first enters the snowflake creation section of the game. A virtual piece of paper is cut and folded, and the player is then supplied with a virtual pair of scissors, which they can then use to cut out pieces of the previously mentioned paper. When the player is done, they may unfold the piece of paper to reveal the snowflake they have created. This snowflake can be edited further, through the use of the redo and undo buttons, or it can be shared. Players may also send an email from within the game to their friends as a way to share and publicize the game.
